The fifth edition of the ASEAN Economic Forum 2024 took place in Singapore on May 18, 2024. This annual event rotates among ASEAN countries and focuses on promoting economic cooperation and sustainable development in the region. This year’s forum was organized by the Vietnam-ASEAN Institute for Entrepreneur Development under the Central Association of Southeast Asian Scientific Research, in collaboration with various relevant units and agencies, and supported by QP Vietnam Co., Ltd., and Amway Vietnam Co., Ltd.
The forum featured participation from Mr. Le Doan Hop, former Minister of Information and Communications; Mr. Vu Van Minh, Deputy Ambassador, representative of the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore; Ms. Le Thi Kim Xuan, President of the Vietnam-ASEAN Institute for Entrepreneur Development; Mr. George Choo, President of the Singapore Telecommunication and IT Industry Association; Ms. Bui Thu Ling, President of the Vietnam Singapore Business Association; representatives of the International and Global Business Network, the Asia-Pacific Elite Business Alliance, the Hoa Sing Chamber of Commerce and Industry; leaders of various associations and organizations; and economic experts from Vietnam and Singapore, along with numerous businesses and brands from ASEAN member countries.

As a bridge for cooperation and development, this year’s forum focused on discussing the current situation, solutions to enhance competitiveness, and creating opportunities for businesses and investors in the region to meet, exchange experiences, and explore cooperation needs. The discussions centered on key areas such as information technology, communications, banking, education and training, and health.
In recent years, Vietnam has proactively made many positive contributions to building a prosperous ASEAN community. Despite difficulties, economic cooperation between Vietnam and ASEAN has continued to grow, being a highlight in the economic picture of Vietnam and the region. This success is significantly attributed to the business community.
The forum is an opportunity to introduce and promote prominent Vietnamese and Singaporean brands in currently high-interest fields. During the program, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony took place between businesses, marking a significant milestone for the success of this year’s event.
Enterprises honored as Top 10 Outstanding Brands of ASEAN in 2024.
The announcement and recognition ceremony for the “ASEAN Award 2024” was held within the program framework, affirming and acknowledging the contributions of outstanding Vietnamese and ASEAN businesses, famous ASEAN brands, and excellent managers. These are entrepreneurs and businesses that are innovative and creative, making positive contributions to economic development, social welfare, and sustainable development in the region.
